In our busy world, it’s easy to fall into a “sense of duty” that keeps us in cycles of rote behavior, detached from our soul’s fiery nature. But, this fiery essence within us craves freedom — not the absence of responsibility, but the ability to create with joy and ease. Yet, when we live mechanically, focused solely on achieving and maintaining routines, we eventually lose touch with the higher purpose that our soul longs to express.

When we approach life with openness and surrender to divine flow, our actions become inspired and purposeful. As we master the “phases of nature” one by one, the purpose of these studies is to expand our sense of wonder, not to create an oppressive routine that “stultifies soul consciousness.” And the Divine Director masterfully encourages us to embrace study, practice, and spiritual growth as tools to support our soul’s joyful, limitless expression.
