Dear friends, as the world navigates a period of profound uncertainty during an eclipse season while on the brink of a third world war, many are feeling a deep need for both reflection and action. We may be witnessing or experiencing circumstances that challenge our sense of peace, justice, and compassion. In such times, the teachings of the Ascended Masters have reminded us that spiritual clarity is not always a passive retreat but sometimes also a call to action—yet always guided by love, mercy, and the will of the divine.
While the October 2nd, 2024 eclipse brings opportunities for healing and balance, it also stirs emotional volatility. Impatience, intolerance, and unresolved anger may surface, particularly for those who have struggled with relationships or self-control in the past. This makes it essential to approach conflicts with a calm and measured mindset, using the energy of Libra to seek peace rather than division.
Lectio Divina, Vol. 1 No. 1 is based on a message from Ascended Master Kuan Yin and Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. The sermon was delivered on a mountainside near the Sea of Galilee, presently known as northern Israel.
Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount during a time of oppression and unrest, in a location that symbolized divine revelation, paralleling the actions of Moses, who delivered God's law from Mount Sinai.
His message, however, focused on internal transformation and a higher form of justice rooted in love, compassion, and forgiveness, transcending the immediate political realities.
This publication is offered to all subscribers as the first in a series of Lectio Divina spiritual practices. My hope is it will guide you in finding balance between the inner work of reflection and the outer work of compassionate action. (Find out what a Lectio Divina is in this previous newsletter.)
The wisdom of Kuan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy, and the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:44-48 urge us to embody love and forgiveness in the face of adversity even as we must stand for what is just, to bring healing where there is division.
Now, more than ever, we are called to align our thoughts, words, and actions with the divine. Kuan Yin speaks to this balance between inner peace and external action:
“Never have we stopped to discriminate as to who among God’s children is worthy to receive our blessing... any more than the heavenly Father discriminates in the outpouring of His blessings to all creation.”
As we reflect on these teachings, we are invited to go beyond personal peace and consider how we can be instruments of mercy and justice in the world.
Through this Lectio Divina practice, you will:
✨ Reflect on how divine love can guide your responses to the inequities you witness.
✨ Meditate on the power of forgiveness and how it can transform relationships and circumstances.
✨ Pray for the strength to stand up for what is just while remaining rooted in compassion.
✨ Act by becoming a vessel of divine mercy, bringing healing and balance to a world in need.
In these uncertain times, you are not alone. You are part of a greater movement toward harmony and balance.
The Masters call on us to not only seek peace within but to act from that place of inner strength, bringing justice, compassion, and mercy into the world. This is a sacred time of both inner and outer transformation.
