The energies this week will continue to be intense, and, I’ve decided we ought to turn our attention to the sacred flame of divine love, guided by the immensely powerful and luminous presence of Archangel Chamuel, the great guardian of the Third Ray. Why Love—and Why Now?

I chose to dedicate this week to the heart flame of divine love because the times we are living through demand we reflect on the balance we are striving to achieve within the Threefold Flame that resides within each of us—the flame of Power, Wisdom, and Love.

In the spiritual teachings of the Great White Brotherhood, the Threefold Flame is the inner Trinity, the divine fire at the core of the heart that must burn in perfect harmony for the soul to walk the path of spiritual mastery.

It might seem, at first glance, that love would be the easiest flame to master—a gentle glow, a soft radiance. But this is not the case now, when the collective heart is under extraordinary pressure and confusion around the very meaning of love itself. And, this days, the stars are speaking directly to this crisis—and this opportunity.

Venus Retrograde in Aries: The Cosmic Mirror

As this week begins, Venus has just stationed retrograde in Aries, a fiery sign ruled by Mars, so the themes of desire, personal will, and the pursuit of love come sharply into focus. Venus will be in retrograde motion from March 1 to April 12, beginning in Aries and moving back into Pisces on March 27.

Venus is the planet of love, and Aries teaches us to chase after what we want—to conquer, to claim—but divine love does not belong to us. It flows through us, and it can only move freely when the heart is clear of selfishness, control, and fear.

This retrograde calls us to reassess how we approach love—in our personal relationships, but also in our spiritual practice. Are we pursuing love as something to obtain, or are we learning to become love itself? Are we confusing passion for devotion, or attachment for adoration? These are not small questions—they cut to the heart of our spiritual maturity.

By the end of March, as Venus retrogrades back into Pisces, we are asked to soften, to surrender the ego’s grasping at love, and to embrace the deeper reality: Love is not a prize. Love is our origin, our essence, and our divine calling. This cosmic progression—from Aries’ personal will to Pisces’ universal love—mirrors exactly the path Archangel Chamuel walks with us: purifying the human heart so it can become a chalice for divine love to pour into the world.
